James Dobson Does Not Speak For Me

Mon Jun 23, 2008 at 11:20:56 PM PDT

Not that it matters, and not that anyone will probably notice, but I feel strongly compelled to declare that James Dobson does not speak for me.

BREAKING: Anti-American Refuses to Put Hand Over Heart

Sat Mar 01, 2008 at 10:02:32 AM PDT

Sorry for the short diary, guys, but I just discovered some disturbing information about a would-be president that I thought should be shared with as many people as possible.  I'm very concerned and after you see these pictures, you will be too.

Hey Brooks, Kiss My Liberal Ass

Mon Feb 11, 2008 at 11:03:03 PM PDT

Dear Mr. Brooks,

For some reason unbeknownst to me, I just read the latest in a long string of your insightful hit pieces columns discussing the Democratic Party.  Since you were so kind as to share your bullshit political wisdom with the world, I felt obliged to personally express my gratitude.

Obama Campaign's Response to Email Smear

Sat Feb 02, 2008 at 10:27:13 PM PDT

I'm not sure if this has already been diaried or not (if it has, I can't find it), so I thought I would post this here for any/everyone interested.

As we all know, a smear campaign has been underway against Barack Obama in the form of an email forward stating that he is a Muslim terrorist, hates America, attends a 'racist' church, etc.

The Obama Campaign has posted a suggested response to these lies on its website for anyone to Reply All if/when they receive this email.  Here is the text of the email.  Read more here.

I just sent this email out to my address book; let's try to get the truth as much traction as the lies that have been spread about Barack Obama.

Oh my dear GOD I hate Wolf Blitzer!!!

I could be live-blogging this (and I am) but right now I'm so f'n pissed off that I felt (rightly or wrongly) that it merited its own diary.

Tonight, I Was Reminded Why I Am A Democrat

Wed Jan 02, 2008 at 09:35:51 PM PDT

Though it may seem (be?) simplistic, naïve, and a bit on the side of emotional sensationalism, after seeing The Great Debaters tonight with my wife, I remembered at a visceral level why I am proud to call myself a Democrat.

Fantasy Administration

Fri Jul 27, 2007 at 05:11:42 PM PDT

Ok, with all the fantasy drafts in baseball, football, basketball, etc, I couldn't help but apply this mindset to our political process.  Given the dreadful state of affairs and the stark need for drastic change, I cannot help but daydream about an "All-Star" team.

So, without further ado, if I had the opportunity to "draft" my own "team", here's what it would be.  If you're interested, and have a few minutes to kill just for the hell of it, follow me below the fold.

A few thoughts on HRC

Mon Feb 12, 2007 at 01:02:07 AM PDT

While I have been caught up the past couple days in the formal announcement of Barack Obama's candidacy for President of the United States of America, and have for quite some time now strongly detested the notion of a Hillary Clinton presidency, it just now occurred to me how deeply I feel that she is, was, and would be the wrong choice for America, and by contrast, how much better Barack Obama would be.  Allow me to explain.
